Are you a driving fanatic who loves to push their car to the absolute limit? Do you relish the thrill of whipping into corners at speed and pressing your foot down for a burst of acceleration?

The Bridgestone Potenza Re-11 is an extreme performance summer tire engineered for high-end sport cars, coupes and sedans.

The Potenza Re-11 is a tire for serious driving enthusiasts who seek to get the maximum performance and driving enjoyment out of their high-performance vehicles, whether for autocross, on the street or on the track. It allows everyday drivers to experience the leading race-inspired technology, performance and handling.

Bridgestone POTENZA RE11 Tread

So if you fancy yourself as a bit of a race-car driver, the Potenza Re-11 is a must have for your car.

Superior cornering and steering response

In order to give this tire such outstanding grip and traction, the Potenza Re-11 uses the same 3-D Seamless Stealth technology that Bridgestone use in their Formula 1 and GranPrix2 race tires. And in an effort to ensure strength and durability at high speeds, the Potenza Re-11’s internal structure features two wide steel belts reinforced with spirally wound nylon and utilizes a custom designed asymmetric shape to help distribute the tire’s footprint pressure more evenly for more aggressive cornering capability. With the Potenza Re-11 on your car you can throw yourself into corners without a car in the world. Cornering grip and steering response has been enhanced with large outer tread blocks that are interlocked with a notched circumferential rib.

Wet surface traction and hydroplane resistance on the Potenza Re-11 is very impressive. Handling in wet conditions is just as responsive and predictable as in the dry. Water is quickly vanquished from the tire’s footprint due to the grooves around the tire’s circumference combined with the inboard continuous intermediate ribs and notched shoulder rib.

Now compared to a touring tire, these tires are a little noisy and the ride is a bit stiff due to the tire’s low profile, which can mean an uncomfortable ride when going over bumps and potholes. But I mean if you’re looking for comfort, you best look elsewhere. The primary focus of the Potenza Re-11 is maximum performance and driving pleasure. Anything else is surplus to requirements. And to be fair they’re not as loud as a lot of other extreme performance tires.

The Potenza Re-11 can do it all

Without a shadow of a doubt, the Bridgestone Potenza Re-11 is definitely one of the better extreme high performance tires on the market. If you have a passion for accelerating faster, cornering harder and braking shorter, these tires are essential. And although you can use them for your daily driving, they’re just begging to be unleashed on the track or a quiet, empty mountain road.

The Potenza Re-11 is available in 31 different V and W rated sizes ranging from 15 to 19 inches with prices ranging from about $100 to $300 depending on tire size.

Please note that these tires are not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near and below freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
