Are you looking for an all season tire that can save you money on fuel, increase your car’s performance, and keep you safe all year-round?

Developed for the drivers of all types of coupes, sedans, crossovers and minivans, the ProContact with Ecoplus Technology is Continental’s all season tire that’s designed to deliver long-lasting tread wear and a high-level of grip and handling in dry, wet and wintry conditions while reducing C02 emissions for a cleaner environment.

The ProContact’s all season tread compound features Continental’s special Tg F Polymers and +Silane additives to improve fuel efficiency and increase traction on wet, slippery roads.

The compound is molded into a symmetrical tread pattern for great all round traction and handling in all four seasons. The Continental Procontact is a tire that holds you to the road tightly whether the weather is warm, raining or snowing.

Where the ProContact Ecoplus really excels is in wet weather.

Wet braking is noticeably impressive with reduced stopping distances on wet roads. To resist the dangers of hydroplaning and increase traction on wet surfaces, the ProContact Ecoplus utilizes wide circumferential grooves and numerous sipes to prevent the build-up of water around the tire’s footprint. Continental have certainly achieved their goal of increasing wet traction and producing shorter braking distances on wet road. They instill a level of safety and security that will have you feeling almost overconfident in the rain. Without a doubt the ProContact Plus is a tire you’ll be happy to have on in an emergency braking scenario.

How do they stand up to the snow?

Well the tire’s tread design ensures continuous tread contact with the road in combination with Continental’s Proactive Edge Technology that increases the number of active edges in the tire’s contact patch for greater traction in light snow. However, if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow, you might want to look for something else. And there have also been some concerns voiced about the braking unpredictability on ice covered surfaces.

To promote even tread wear over the tire’s life-cycle, and to add strength and durability for more support, the ProContact Ecoplus’ internal structure is reinforced with twin steel belts. This allows ProContact Ecoplus to retain a high level of comfort and smoothness over the entire life of the tire.

It should be no surprise that Continental is ranked among the best tire manufacturers in the world.

The Continental ProContact with EcoPlus Technology is definitely one of the better tires in the all season class with impressive grip and handling on dry, wet and snow covered surfaces. It’s more than a match for the top tires from Michelin and Bridgestone but at a lower price.

The Continental ProContact with Ecoplus Technology is backed by a 80,000 mile tread wear warranty, although some drivers have complained about tread wear issues and have stated that 50,000 miles is much more realistic.
